چکیده
In this work, we introduce a novel method to render, in real-time, Lambertian surfaces with rough dieletric coating. We show that the appearance of such configurations is faithfully represented two microfacet lobes accounting for direct and indirect interactions respectively. numerically fit these based on first order directional statistics (energy, mean variance) light transport using 5D tables narrow them down 2D + 1D analytical forms dimension reduction. demonstrate quality our by efficiently rendering plastics ceramics, closely matching ground truth. addition, improve state-of-the-art layered material model include interfaces.

متن کاملRendering Layered Depth Images
In this paper we present an e cient image based rendering system that renders multiple frames per second on a PC. Our method performs warping from an intermediate representation called a layered depth image (LDI). An LDI is a view of the scene from a single input camera view, but with multiple pixels along each line of sight. When n input images are preprocessed to create a single LDI, the size...
متن کاملMulti-Layered Image-Based Rendering
In this article, we describe a multi-layered image-based rendering system that can use different types of input to produce and render new environments. Each separate input that can be manipulated independently is called a layer. In our implementation, the types of layers that can be manipulated are the image-based and 3-D-based layers. The computation required for rendering the newly-crafted en...
متن کاملSharpening Diffuse Interfaces with Compressible Flow Solvers
Diffuse interfaces appear with any Eulerian discontinuity capturing compressible flow solver. When dealing with multifluid and multimaterial computations, interfaces smearing results in serious difficulties to fulfil contact conditions, as spurious oscillations appear. To circumvent these difficulties, several approaches have been proposed. One of them relies on multiphase flow modelling of the...
متن کاملRendering Translucent Materials with Plane-parallel Solution
Lighting simulation is very important in realistic image synthesis, and the simulation of subsurface scattering has recently attracted much attention. Although the dipole/multipole model has succeeded in creating realistic images, it is still difficult to deal with volumetric features in subsurface scattering, which is important when rendering optically thin objects. This paper proposes a novel...
